Frequently asked questions

Which bouncers work with managed CrowdSec?

Any CrowdSec-compatible bouncer works: the Nginx bouncer, the Cloudflare bouncer, the pfSense bouncer, and others. We configure the local API endpoint so your bouncers connect to our hosted console automatically.

Can I write custom scenarios for my specific applications?

Yes, from the Business plan. Custom scenarios are YAML files that describe attack patterns; we deploy them to your engine without restarting protected services.

How many servers can I protect on each plan?

Starter covers up to 5 servers, Business up to 25, and Enterprise is unlimited. Each server runs one CrowdSec agent; the centralized console and decision database run on our infrastructure.

Does CrowdSec share ban decisions with the community blocklist?

Yes. CrowdSec agents contribute anonymized attacker IPs to the global blocklist by default. You can opt out per-instance if your security policy requires it.

Ready to get started with CrowdSec?

Your instance is provisioned in minutes. No credit card required for a consultation.
